I have deep respect for the owner of the first salon I worked at. We spent countless hours together, and I learned so much from those experiences. Seeing their charisma up close every day, I eventually became curious about their roots. One day, I straight-up asked, “What’s your source of inspiration?” They answered in one word: rock. They specifically mentioned being inspired by designer @hedislimane , so I did a deep dive into his work. That’s when I started getting obsessed with rock. It became something I couldn’t separate from my everyday life. Looking back, I realized that rock was always there—my dad used to play indie rock in the car, his room was filled with rock records, and he used to be in a band. Rock has always been a part of me, and it made me reconnect with my own roots. This time, inspired by Hedi Slimane’s diary, I’ve expressed fashion and design that finds beauty in the messy through hair.
